    Golf Path officially opens

    It was with great pleasure to officially open the path from Cranbrook Residences to Castle Hill Country Club. The path was officially opened by Campbell Meldrum – Executive Director Cranbrook Care and Charles Behrens – President Castle Hill Country Club. Thanks also to other Castle Hill Country Club Board and Team Members, Tony Cruise – Captain, Duncan Walker – General Manager and Mitch Brooks – Course Superintendent. Our residents have the added amenity of a six seater golf buggy to enjoy a direct link from Cranbrook Residences to Castle Hill Country Club to enjoy a meal in the Clubhouse or to enjoy a game of golf.     Official Opening – Cranbrook Residences

    On Thursday 22 February, Cranbrook Residences celebrated its Official Opening, in conjunction with Bella Vista Gardens. The event was attended by residents and their families from the local community who congregated in a marquee on The Green, at Bella Vista Gardens. It was a beautiful day and there were over 150 guests who attended. The event commenced with CEO Kerry Mann making an opening address and presenting the newest residents with gifts. Alan Jones, as a long-time advocate and commentator on the importance of security for seniors who are leading into retirement, spoke articulately and engagingly about the benefits of residing at Bella Vista Gardens and Cranbrook Residences. He reiterated his belief in the importance that mental wellbeing and lifestyle plays in the lives of residents, as well as the physical surroundings. He spoke of Cranbrook Care’s focus on the delivery of quality, age appropriate living for mature Australians, that is reflected in the architecturally designed residences.     Reflections Wellness Centre Opens

    Cranbrook Care, has opened its Reflections Wellness Centre offering a range of health and wellbeing services to its aged care residents and soon to be retirement living residents at Cranbrook Residences. Commenting on the opening of Reflections, Ms Kerry Mann, CEO, Cranbrook Care, said: “At Cranbrook Care we strive to enrich the lives of older Australians using a unique, age-specific approach.     STAGE 1 DUE FOR COMPLETION EARLY 2017

    Rain rain go away! Construction and rain have never been friends, however the team at ADCO Construction are still full steam ahead with Stage 1 of Cranbrook Residences due for completion in early 2017. The neighbouring aged care residence will be opening in just a few months time. Building One, apartments 101 to 109 (pictured) is leading the charge! The slab has been poured for the first floor. The formwork for the first floor of Building Two, apartments 201 to 208 is constructed and hot on the heels of Building One. Building Three, apartments 301 to 307 officially has a ground floor! Formwork is complete for the structural walls to the ground level from the basement level. Building Three will also be home to the Café and Reception area. If you have visited the display suite recently, you will have noticed the pond has been drained and cleared of all material. The pond is currently being re-profiled and will be 3m deep in the central areas when the works are completed. The works also involve landscaping around the pond and the installation of two water movement devices to move the water around the pond area. It is envisaged that these works will be completed by October/November 2016 and the pond will be refilled with water.     Stage 1 Construction Well Underway

    With construction now well underway at Cranbrook Residences, Stage 1, residents were excited this month to meet in the display suite for a catch up drink, check up on the construction site and to get an update on progress to date. Cranbrook Care is confident at this stage that construction will be complete by the end of first quarter 2017, with the roof to Building 1 expected to be on by the end of July, Building 2 by August and Building 3 by September 2016. Campbell Meldrum, Executive Director at Cranbrook Care, said that unless there were factors beyond their control, the completion of Stage 1 is scheduled for end of March 2017. Campbell also gave residents a sneak peek at the sketches and finishes for the reception area, cafe, library, multi-purpose room, arts room, cinema, fitness centre and lift lobbies as they enter the final stages of design development. Residents were excited to set eyes on the finishes boards and gain a better understanding how some of the services and facilities will work throughout the residences such as the security setup, basement area layouts and operation of the café and kitchen areas. With the buildings taking shape over the next few months, we will continue to provide updates to residents at each stage of the construction process.

    Stage 1 Construction Commences

    We are very excited to announce Stage 1 of the construction of Cranbrook Residences has commenced two months ahead of schedule and is due for completion in early 2017. To mark the commencement of Stage 1, a ceremonial ground breaking was officiated by broadcaster Alan Jones on Tuesday 27 October. Residents and the management of Cranbrook Residences were joined by the ADCO Construction, architects and the project team in celebrating this milestone.
